No Tiger This Week At API

No Tiger This Week At API

This week on tour will certainly be bitter sweet. We arrive at one of the best tournaments on schedule, the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Everything about this tournament I love, the course, the field, the atmosphere, but most importantly it feels like Arnold is there with us throughout the week.

This is his week.

Unfortunately, the show must go on without the golfer who has won this tournament EIGHT times in his career. I think you know who I’m talking about here….

Today, Tiger withdrew from the tournament due to a neck strain that has been bothering him for the past few weeks. The good thing is he indicated that he should be ready to go for next weeks Players Championship. However, I wouldn’t hate the idea for him to just sit out and focus on being ready for the Masters.

I was looking forward to seeing Tiger this week, he placed fifth here last year and came in this week as one of the favourites. The good thing is that this field is still stacked, which is what makes this tournament so special and will for sure be a fantastic week in golf.

If I had to go with someone for the week, I would pick Bryson. He finished second last year at this tournament, but he has gotten so much better since then, and he has shown that he can win these big tournaments. He won at Jack’s tournament last year, I think he can win at Arnold’s this year.

I hope everyone enjoys this special week in golf!
