My 2019 PGA Championship Picks

My 2019 PGA Championship Picks

This week we arrive at the second major of the year, and thankfully this is no longer the final one of the year. I am glad the PGA decided to re-arrange the schedule and put this major in May as it adds more excitement to the British Open, the one I happen to enjoy the most.

I have not been around for the past week, been trying to get a few things done that has me occupied, but I have to at least put out my picks for this weeks major. I’ll be sure to recap this major and see how it compares to previous years when it was the final major of the year.

Let’s get into my picks:

Francesco Molinari – 25/1: I actually placed this bet during the third round of this years Masters. I saw that Molinari was making a charge on Saturday and knew that his number at the time would not hold. Sure enough after the tournament was over he was 16/1. Luckily he is back to his original number. Bethpage Black is a TOUGH course, I don’t need my guy to shoot 15 under for the week and this is a course where that just won’t happen. Molinari held up well during the final round of the Masters when the whole world wanted Tiger to win, his game is top notch right now and on a course where a lot of approach shots will be from 180 yards out, he seems to make them look easy.

Xander Schauffele – 25/1: Similar to Molinari, I don’t need Xander to shoot 15 under to win, I just need him to stay out of trouble. Xander was in the mix on Sunday as well at the Masters, this is no surprise as he plays well on big stages, I expect the same from him this week. Dating back to 2018, Xander has put together two second place finishes along with a sixth place finish in the last five majors. Not bad at all.

I will stick with these two for now, I’d rather just live bet during the week and hope I see a nice number pop up.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the PGA Championship and I would love to hear your thoughts on it come next week!
