The golfing world is in for a treat as it looks to be an exciting finish to the 100th PGA Championship. On Saturday, many golfers had to finish their 2nd round along with playing another 18 holes due to the weather delay on Friday, one of them being Tiger Woods. Since his return to the tour, we have yet to see Tiger in this situation, personally I was impressed with how he played as he managed to shoot a 4-under 66 to put himself four back of the leader Brooks Koepka heading into the final round.
The leaderboard is filled with big names including Brooks Koepka, Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm, Jason Day, Justin Thomas….oh and I can’t forget about Gary Woodland!
It certainly is nice to see Adam Scott in contention, I was worried that he completely fell off this year but to know he can still contend is nice to see, just two behind and has a great chance of capturing the Wanamaker Trophy.
Koepka will need to display the same short game he had in the final round of the US Open which he won, there are so many people he has to fend off in this final round.
Going back to Tiger, I would have liked to have seen him in the final group, unfortunately he was unable to capitalize on the back nine yesterday. If he can make a few putts early on in his final round….look out. I want to see Tiger win, but it will be hard trying to close in on Koepka in my opinion.
Should be an exciting finish to the final major of the year!
